Connections relies on the wisdom and talents of the community to strengthen our program services and strategically plan for addressing community needs.

Connections Committees:

Finance Committee- Duties of the finance committee include:

  1. Review, approval, and presentation of the annual agency budget
  2. Secure insurance approved by the Board
  3. Assist Treasurer and agency personnel in the care/custody of funds and financial matters
  4. Oversee preparation and review of monthly and annual financial reports, budgets, returns, or statements of corporation
  5. Make recommendations of all financial and fundraising matters
  6. Review annual independent audit for presentation to the Board

Fund Development Committee– Duties of the committee include:

  1. Establish, update and review annual and three-year fundraising plan
  2. Develop and implement all agency special events
  3. Solicit individual and major gifts for the agency
  4. Assist Development Director with the planning and implementation of Annual Campaign
  5. Solicit Board Member Gifts
  6. Facilitate contact with civic groups for presentations, small business owners and corporations for solicitation of gifts
  7. Solicit volunteers to serve as ad hoc members who can assist committee reach fund goals
  8. Participate in fund development training
  9. Review and revise fundraising activities annually
  10. Communicate regularly with Development Director regarding Fund Development Plans
  11. Present reports at Board Meetings following each meeting

Policy and Program Audit Committee– The duties of the committee include:

  1. Review all policies and procedures of the organization and its programs at least every two years and present recommendations to the Board of Directors
  2. Review program contracts and official program audits and report to the Board
  3. Review any personnel or agency policy issues, changes, and additions
  4. Act as member of sick leave bank reviewing committee
  5. Review agency organizational structure at least annually
  6. Review an annual agency employee survey and recommend policy/process changes as appropriate
  7. Review an annual community satisfaction survey and recommend policy/process changes as appropriate
  8. Review recommendations for new job positions and report to the Board
